Oaks - Quercus

A collection of Southeastern native oaks — including Water Oak, Willow Oak, White Oak, Pin Oak, Cherrybark Oak, and Overcup Oak — chosen for their adaptability to South Carolina's sandy, fast-draining soils. Oaks are the backbone of a healthy canopy: long-lived, wildlife-supporting, and iconic across the Southeast.

Growth rates vary by species, but you can generally expect 8-12 ft of height by year 5, 18-25 ft by year 10, 28-38 ft by year 15, and 35-50 ft by year 20 — with faster-growing types like Water Oak and Willow Oak leading the pace, and slower, longer-lived species like White Oak building strength for generations to come.

Oaks develop substantial root systems over time, so plant at least 20 feet from your home's foundation and other structures.
